Summer School on vitrimers

7 – 12 July, 2025 – Anacapri (Capri, Italy)

We organize a Summer School on Polymeric Networks for Sustainable Development in Capri, Italy from July 6 to July 12, 2025.

The school is addressed to students and researchers both from industry and academic institutions and is open to all with an interest in the structure and dynamics of polymer networks, i.e., polymeric networks other than the permanently crosslinked ones (known as thermosets). The school will hence focus on networks with dynamic, i.e., temporary crosslinks, that can then be reprocessed and recycled (entangled networks, associating networks, vitrimers, etc.).  It aims at covering all aspects of these reprocessable networks (experimental, theoretical and computational) in a lively and open environment, including a special session dedicated to the use of these networks for industrial applications.  The school will also cover the design and development of functional polymer gels.

Participants will also have an opportunity to present their own work during poster sessions.

Organizers

The summer school is organized by Prof. Jian Ping Gong (Hokkaido University, Japan), Prof. Giovanni Ianniruberto, (University of Naples, Italy), Prof. Evelyne van Ruymbeke (UCLouvain, Belgium) and Prof. Dimitris Vlassopoulos (FORTH-Crete, Greece).
